We had control for most of the time as with 4 minutes to go we were leading by 10 points. We made several mistakes, especially on defense which cost us the game. We gave all our effort but we missed luck as well in the end. We should have finished the game much smarter. They made twice basket with a foul so it′s our fault. We missed 8 free throws from 17 attempts which is a big problem and we must work on it. Unfortunately it′s not a good way to open the season in the league. We shouldn′t have been in the situation to depend on one attack in the end."

Travis Bureau, player of SCM U Craiova: "We started the game by doing what we were supposed to do. We had to control the 1 on 1 defense, the defensive rebounds. When we got to a 10-point lead we didn′t play smart and we didn′t hold them defensively which cost us the game. We still had the chance to tie and go to overtime but came up short. We had the game won but they just were the smarter team and wanted it more in the end."


Dejan Delev, player of KK Kozuv: "For us it was very difficult game after two defeats in the local league and we lacked confidence. We knew the team of Craiova because of the lot of Serbian players and the Serbian coach. We knew they have a short roster so we wanted to play hard on defense and more on the fast break. I think we had a good game and respected what our coach wanted from us before it. We showed very good energy and we believed even when we were 10 points down. At the end we also had luck. I wish the best to Craiova for the rest of the season."
