The federation of Kosovo is the newest FIBA member

The basketball federation of Kosovo is the newest member of FIBA. The international governing body announced on Friday that Kosovo has become its 215th National Member Federation.

This decision comes after the IOC granted full recognition to the Kosovo Olympic Committee at the end of last year. As a result of it FIBA Europe will starts its work towards including the national teams from Kosovo in its competitions from this summer.

EUROHOLD Balkan League was the first that accepted teams from Kosovo in international competitions with approval by FIBA and the management congratulates the basketball federation and its teams, and wants to wish them good luck and lot of success in the future!
