Rilski Sportist is through to the final after great win in Peja

BC Rilski Sportist is through to the final in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team from Samokov overcame 1-point deficit from the first game and defeated KB Peja away 82-66. Rilski played very well and led from start to finish to silence the full gym in Peja. With this victory the team from Samokov reached its third final in the history of the competition.

Peja led 6-2 early but Rilski responded with 12-2 run to go up. The visitors had the advantage until the end of the quarter as the game was very close. With 5 straight points in the second quarter Peja tied the score but the hosts couldn′t take the lead. The score was tide two more times and later Rilski took a 6-point advantage after 5-0 run. The visitors lead went also to 7 points and at the break it came down to 5.

After the break Rilski continued to have the lead as in the middle of the third quarter it went up to 10 points. Then the visitors finished the quarter on a 6-0 run which took their advantage up to 15 before the final ten minutes. In the last quarter Rilski′s lead went over 20 points and the game was over.

Top performer for Rilski was Zarko Rakocevic with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Vernon Taylor had 19 points while Julian Norfleet added 14 points.

For the home team Dominique Wise had 17 points and 9 assists while Alban Veseli finished with 16 points.
