Mornar won in Prishtina to remain the only unbeaten team

KK Mornar recorded its third straight win in group A of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League and remained the only unbeaten team in the competition. The team from Bar visited the champions Sigal Prishtina and played a superb second half to take a 72-62 victory. They were down by 11 at the break but made a comeback and won at the end. Mornar is now leading group A with 3 wins and no defeats while Sigal Prishtina is second with 2-1 record. Next week the team from Bar will host KK Kozuv while Sigal′s next match is away at Kozuv on December 9th.
 
It was a close game in the first quarter with the visitors leading most of the time. Their advantage went as high as 6 points but it was only 2 after ten minutes. A 14-2 start of the second quarter gave Sigal Prishtina a big lead. The team pulled away by 10 points and later the margin became 14. 
 
At the break Sigal led by 11 points but a 10-2 start of the second half for Mornar cut the deficit to only 3. After that the visitors continued to try and tie the score and they not only did that but also took a 2-point lead heading in to the last ten minutes.
 
The fourth quarter opened up with 5-0 run for the visitors and the lead reached 7 points. With 3.33 to go Sigal cut the deficit to 2 and then both teams missed. Then with 2.20 to play Marko Calic scored an important triple for the visitors and then Mazreku was stopped at the other end. In the next offense Vujosevic had a monster dunk to put Mornar up by 7 with 1.51 left on the clock. Still the hosts had more chances to close the gap but missed two triples and the visitors took full advantage to get a 10-point win at the end.
 
Austin Chatman had a very good game for Mornar and finished with 19 points and 5 assists. Balsa Radunovic and Marko Mijovic also performed good and scored 11 points apiece.
 
For the home team Mohamed Abukar had 22 points while Stanimir Marinov added 9, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
