A great third quarter leads Peja to fourth win in a row

KB Peja remained top of group B in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League after recording fourth win in a row. The Yellows hosted KB Bashkimi in the Kosovo derby of the group and won 83-70 thanks to a great third quarter. After the first half the visitors had the lead but after the break Peja stepped up, started playing better and took revenge for the loss at the start of the league. With this victory Peja is top of the group with 4 wins and 1 loss while Bashkimi are third with 2-3 record. The team from Prizren will host Teodo on December 8th while 8 days later Peja will visit the same team in Tivat.
 
It was an even first quarter with both teams exchanging points and leads. At the end of it Peja led by 2 but the second started with 9-0 run for Bashkimi and the visitors pulled away. Shortly after the middle of it they advantage went to 8 points and they stayed in front until the break which came with 4 points difference.
 
Right after the start of the second half Peja not only tied the game but took the lead. The hosts even pulled away by 7 points with 2.10 to play in the third as the visitors answered with a triple. Peja however scored the next 7 points to go up by 11 after 30 minutes. This was more then enough for the home team as in the last ten minutes they controlled the score and didn′t allow the visitors to come close.
 
Drilon Hajrizi had another great all around performance and finished with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Kevin Burwell added 16 points and 4 assists as Samuel Muldrow had 14 points.
 
Theron Bussey had 20 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists for the visitors while Marcel Jones had 16 points and 8 rebounds.
