Manuel Markov, head coach of BC Levski 2014: A big win for us

BC Levski 2014 defeated KB Peja away at the start of group D in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. This stopped Peja′s run of seven straight wins and it came in impressive way. Here is what Manuel Markov - head coach of the winners had to say after the game: 

"It′s a big win for us. Most of our players are young but I′m happy that in the end they didn′t bend and withstood Peja′s runs and the pressure from the fans. Such games can only bring positive things to the players who are gaining experience in such an atmosphere and are growing up.

I′m happy with the fact that we played very good in offense and the 22 assists we made speak good enough for that. There are still some things that we need to correct in defense but I believe that it will happen soon. The players had a big desire, gave their best and it was only right that we celebrated with the win. Before the game we were thinking that we might steal something and I′m happy we showed it on the court.

Such a result will give the players more confidence and I think they need some. They showed that the games are helping them to grow up which actually is our goal. I′m hope this win will boost our team even more and in the next games we are going to show even better things."
