Angelo Koleka: It was a unique experience to play in BIBL

SK Tirana can′t qualify for the Second Stage in SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League even with a win in the last round. Yesterday the team′s chances finished after the Albanians lost at home to KK Karpos Sokoli 2000. After the game the General Manager of SK Tirana - Angelo Koleka, was very happy with the team′s overall performance and had this to say: 

"It was a unique experience to be a part of SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League. We did our best to be a part of this competition and it was a good debut for SK Tirana. Obviously we are now a better team and are improving regularly. This is the start of an ambitious project for our club and we′ll look forward to compete harder in the next season. For the moment we′ll focus to close this campaing with a good performance in Peja next week. I need to thank BIBL management and personally Mr. Shay Shtriks for the warm welcoming and the support the league offered us."

Gerti Shima was one of Tirana′s best players since he joined the team and was really disappointed that they didn′t make it in to the next stage:

"It′s a failure for us not being able to go to the Second Stage. It′s not because it wasn′t a good experience but because we really had a very good chance to do so. We had three home games and failed to get a win. Anyway we need to take all the positives as Tirana′s name is now spreading all over the Balkans and in general it was a good debut for the team."
