The First Stage of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League 2016/2017 is already history and it is time to look back at who the most valuable player was. The award is decided by a highest average performance index rating showed in at least seven games played.

Milivoje Mijovic of KK Kozuv has averaged a performance index rating of 21.0, which was the highest among all players in the first phase of the competition.

The Serbian power forward scored 17.7 points, also grabbed 8.1 rebounds, dished 1.9 assists and also added 0.9 steals in 31.5 minutes on the court per game in 10 SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League Group A matches.

He had started in eight of them, recording 63.9% of two-point shooting, 42.2% beyond the arc and 66.7% from the free throw line.

The First Stage runner-up for the MVP honor was the power forward Endrit Hysenagoli of SK Tirana. The Albanian center posted an average index rating of 20.1. Macedonian ex-point guard of KK Kumanovo 2009 Aleksandar Kostoski followed with an index rating of 19.3 per game.
