Domestic leagues: Kumanovo defeated Feni, Kozuv wins away

KK Kumanovo 2009 defeated MKK Feni Industries in the derby of the round in Macedonian league. The winners took 64-60 home victory after a hard fought match.

It was decided in the final minute when Karadzovski hit a triple to put the hosts up by 4. Feni answered with a Ceshkovic basket but then Janeski scored as well and Kumanovo held on.

Yonel Brown was the top scorer for the winners with 15 points while Marjan Janeski had 13. Boban Stajikj had 12 points for Feni as Gorjan Markovski and Branislav Djekic scored 9 apiece.

KK Kozuv also had a win in this round after downing Vardar 86-73 away. The Gevgelija team started very well to take a 17-point advantage after ten minutes which was more than enough.

Larry Hall was the top scorer for the win with 21 points. Milivoje Mijovic scored 18 while Nikola Djurasovic added 16 and 8 rebounds.

After this round Feni is tied for first place with 10-2 record. Kumanovo follows in third with 8-4 while Kozuv is with 7-5. At the end of this week all those teams will be involved in the Finals of Macedonian Cup.
