Domestic cups: Peja and Sigal Prishtina to meet in the final

KB Peja and KB Sigal Prishtina will play in the final of the Cup of Kosovo. The two teams won their respective semifinal clashes and will fight for the trophy on Sunday.

Peja defeated Bashkimi 74-68 to reach the final. The Yellows started very well the game and took an early lead to extend it to 15 points at the break. After three quarters the advantage reached 19 and it was cut down in the final period but Bashkimi never had a chance.

Alban Veseli finished with 19 points and 7 rebounds for Peja while Noah Dahlman had 11 points. Kayel Locke had 20 points and 7 rebounds for Bashkimi as Justin Black added 17 and 9.

Sigal Prishtina went to the final after beating the hosts Trepca 56-50. It was a very close and even game but a good second period for Sigal put the team up. The current cup holders allowed just 6 points and scored 15 to go up by 7 and then held on. With 2:30 to play the hosts cut the gap to just 2 but Prishtina responded and won the match.

Jabarie Hinds scored 16 points for the winners while Drilon Hajrizi and Fuquan Edwin had 10 apiece. Jeremy Wise scored 18 points for Trepca as Montreal Scott added 11.
