Domestic leagues: Beroe started the playoffs with a win

BC Beroe started the playoffs in Bulgarian league with a win. The BIBL champions hosted Spartak Pleven and took 81-69 victory to be now a win away from reaching the semifinal.

The visitors started well but a 15-2 run for Beroe gave the hosts a double digit advantage. It reached 19 points in the second period but Spartak answered to close to 9. Things didn′t change then as Beroe was leading and controlling the difference.

Shane Gibson was the top performer for the win with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Omari Gudul added 16 and 7 while Brandis Raley-Ross scored 15.
