BC Levski 2014 back to BIBL, going straight for the 3rd title
BC Levski will return to SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League for the upcoming season 2017/2018, as Konstantin Papazov informed the Sports director of SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League
Mr. Shay Shtriks last night. The Blues will again play in the competition, and the club′s ambition is to be the first ever to win the trophy three times.
"Levski has already inked its name in the history of the Balkan League with its two trophies, and it is our obligation to defend our reputation in the next season", coach Konstantin Papazov said for bgbasket.com.
"Our participation in the competition will also be a great opportunity for our young players Ivan Alipiev, Krastan Krastanov and Lachezar Dimitrov. Their performance at the last FIBA U18 European Championship Division B proved that they deserve to be given a chance", he added.
Krastan Krastanov will move to Levski from the young selection of CSKA.
In addition, Titi Papazov announced that in order to achieve the goal - i.e. the third title in the Balkan League - the Blues will sign elite center from abroad.
"We are really happy to welcome BC Levski to the BIBL. Now the team is "at home" again. The BIBL management wishes them best of luck and a season to remember", the Sports director of SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League Mr. Shay Shtriks said.
