Domestic leagues: Rilski Sportist wins a drama against Levski

Rilski Sportist continued the good performances in recent weeks. The Samokov team visited Levski 2014 in Sofia and won 73-67 an important match.

It was an even game from the beginning but the visitors managed to take a 10-point lead after one quarter. In the second Levski changed its face and not only came back but was up by 4 at the break. Things continued to be close in the third period but when Rilski started the fourth with a 14-3 run, the lead reached 10 points. Still Levski managed to close the gap to two and had a chance to tie but missed it and the visitors celebrated the win.

Sheldon Jeter had 19 points for Rilski as Zlatin Georgiev and Der?k Wright had 16 and 11 respectively.

The top scorer for Levski was Stanimir Marinov with his 19 points while Aleks Simeonov scored 14.

Rilski Sportist is second in the table with 6-2 record but also with a game more than Lukoil Academic. Levski is tied for fourth place with 3-3 record, the same as Akademik Bultex 99 and Beroe.
