Konstantin Papazov: We deserved the win a bit more

Levski 2014 took an important win away in Plovdiv against Akademik Bultex 99. The Blues led from the start but needed a last second basket to take the victory. Here is what head coach Konstantin Papazov had to say after the match was over: 

"It was the third time against Akademik where we lost an advantage. Our opponent is a strong team, plays good defense and that makes things harder for every team.

The first half we had an advantage because of their bad offense. Umipig didn′t play a lot while Smith had limited his offense. We made some mistakes in the second half and just like we won the game, it could′ve been Akademik. Maybe we deserved it a bit more because of the lead we had early. I think they didn′t expect Veselinov to attack the basket but he is an experienced player and took the right decision." 

One of Levski′s young players Ivan Alipiev had this to say after the end: "We played a really good first half but then we came out somehow relaxed and let them score some triples. That could′ve proved costly but Vesko made the play of the day. I′m thankful to everybody for giving me this chance to play. I want to continue to develop more and more in the future."
