Domestic leagues: Rilski Sportist, Levski Lukoil and Akademik Bultex 99 win again

BC Rilski Sportist kept the top position in Bulgarian league after downing Beroe 96-88 at home. After an even first quarter the Samokov team had a good second to take the lead. It reached almost 20 points but Beroe didn′t give up and with 3 minutes to go came down to just 3. However the hosts managed to keep the advantage and took the win.

Derek Wright had 23 points and 7 assists for the victory as Martin Marinov added 21 points and 5 rebounds.

Levski Lukoil got another win after an entertaining 108-88 at home against Yambol. The hosts had a strong first half to go up by 22 points which made the players relax in the second but the victory was never in doubt.

19 points and 6 rebounds for the win had Justin Knox as Nikolay Stoyanov added 16 points.

Akademik Bultex 99 had no trouble to defeat the young team of Academic Sofia 93-51 away from home. The Plovdiv side went down early and was behind after one quarter. In the second though the visitors improved a lot and had no problems until the end.

Vasil Bachev had 23 points for the win as Nikola Maravic added 13. The 13-year old Simeon Dimitrov also played in this game and scored his first basket in the professional league.

Rilski keeps the first position in the league with 10 wins and 3 defeats. Levski is third with 9-4 record while Akademik comes fourth with 8-5.
