Domestic leagues: Blokotehna defeated the champions for second time

KK Blokotehna-NB recorded an impressive win in Macedonian league. The Gevgelija team defeated the champions MZT Skopje 96-88 at home to strengthen even more the second position in the standings. It was the second time that Blokotehna beat MZT this season and the team has 13-2 record after 15 rounds. The champions are third with 11-4 which makes the Gevgelija team position really good.

The teams exchanged the first two quarters as at the break the hosts led by 2. The match continued to be close as after 30 minutes the score was tied. An 8-0 run gave Blokotehna 10-point edge in the middle of the fourth period but MZT didn′t stop fighting and cut the deficit to just 2. However it was too little to late as the hosts made their free throws and sealed the win.

Dwayne Benjamin was the top performer for the home side with 24 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds. Anton Kazarnovski also did well with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Goran Glavchev had 12 points.
