Strong third quarter gives Bashkimi the win in Rozaje
KB Bashkimi won its fourth game in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The Prizren team played a great third quarter which helped it win 93-78 away at KK Ibar. Both teams exchanged quarters in the first half but when the visitors pulled away in the third they held on for the victory. It ties the team with Levski Lukoil with 4-5 record while Ibar is still last with 1-8. Next week both teams will meet again, this time in Prizren.
The visitors started really well the game and took an early 13-2 lead. They kept it in double digits until the end of the first period but a 16-7 run for the hosts in the first five minutes of the second cut the deficit to just 4. Bashkimi managed to go up by 8 but a 9-0 run gave Ibar a point lead just before the break. However the first half finished with the score tied and both teams left everything to be decided after. The visitors needed just one quarter to do so. With their lead being 6 points they made an 11-0 run to go up by 16. This time they managed to keep up the difference and cruised on for victory.
Vincent Zollo was the top scorer for the winners with 19 points. Mikaile Tmusic had a good all around game with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists while Urim Zenelaj did very well with 17 points and 7 rebounds.
Marko Perovic had 30 points for the hosts as Nedim Felec scored 19.
