Domestic leagues: Wins for Rilski, Levski and Akademik
Rilski Sportist defeated Academic Sofia 81-68 at home in a 19th round game of the Bulgarian league. The visitors started well and were really close nujtil the middle of the final quarter. Then an 8-0 run for the home side helped them pull away and to take the win.
Travis Taylor had 17 points for Rilski as Sheldon Jeter and Dimitar Marinchevshki had 12 apiece.
BC Levski Lukoil also had a win after downing Cherno more 89-63 away in Varna. The visitors dominated after the first quarter as in the second they made a 19-3 run which put them up by 17 points and they never looked back.
Omari Gudul had 16 points and 9 rebounds for the win as Keith Clanton and Nemanja Milosevic had 14 points apiece and 13 and 9 rebounds respectively.
Akademik Bultex 99 took a home win after beating Yambol 94-81. The win didn′t come easy as the visitors fought until the very end. In the final quarter they closed the gap to just 3 points but 8 straight by the hosts secured them the win.
Isiah Umipig and Dimitar Dimitrov had 22 points apiece for the hosts as Martin Durchev had 15 and 6 assists.
Rilski Sporitst, Levski Lukoil and Akademik Bultex 99 are all tied in the standings with 12 wins and 5 defeats.
