A former champion is back in the Balkan League

BC Beroe is returning to the Balkan League for season 2018/2019. The 2017 champions missed the last season of the competition but will once again be a part of it starting from the upcoming season.

Beroe made its debut in season 2015/2016 and immediatelly did well. The team managed to reach the semifinal but was eventually beaten by Sigal Prishtina. The next season however Beroe not only did better but it was the best as the team won the title by winning against Kumanovo.

Last season wasn′t a good one for Beroe as the team finished fifth in Bulgarian league and lost at the quarterfinal stage. By far the best campaign so far was in 2016/2017 when the Stara Zagora squad won not only the BIBL trophy but also the Bulgarian cup and reached the final of the championship.

Beroe will surely come back with big ambitions and will try to regain the title.
