Pavle Nikolov: I′m happy we managed to stay close to Beroe

KK Kozuv played its first game of the season in the Balkan League and came up just short away against BC Beroe. Here is what the young head coach Pavle Nikolov had to say after the match was over:

"Before the game they were the favourites which was the logic and we entered completely calm. Unfortunately we have some injured players and that affected our performance. I′m happy we managed to fight with Beroe and I hope we′ll be better in the next game. We were close to the hosts in the result but the players we missed on the bench affected us."

The point guard of Kozuv Ljubomir Angelov said the following after the defeat:

"I think we played on a high level based on our standarts. Beroe was the favourite before the game as they have a really strong team which is among the best in Bulgaran league. We knew that and that′s why we are happy with our performance despite the defeat. We lack experience in that competition but everything will come into its place with time."
