Domestic leagues: Win and a loss for Barsy before the trip to Sofia

BC Barsy Atyrau recorded a win and a loss in Kazakhstan league before its trip to Sofia. The team hosted Tobol Kostanay as both side exchanged victories.

In the first game Barsy won 98-83 thanks to a great fourth quarter. In the first three both sides were close and after 30 minutes the hosts were up by just a points. After that however they stepped it up, played really good defense and took the win.

Pavel Ilyin was the best player on the court with 33 points, 6 steals and 5 rebounds as Bojan Bakich added 19 points and 9 rebounds.

In the second match the visitors from Tobol took 109-95 victory. After the first half Barsy led by a point but things changed in the third quarter. The visitors played very good in offense and took a 10-point lead which they never gave up.

Pavel Ilyin was once again the team′s top scorer with 19 points as Bojan Bakic had 17. A total of 6 players scored in double figures but the defense didn′t hold up.

After 8 games played Barsy is third in the league with 5 wins and 3 defeats.
