Domestic leagues: Win and defeat for Barsy

BC Barsy played two home games in the Kazakhstan league and managed to record one victory and suffer one defeat. The team hosted Almaty but fell short in the second match and split the games.

In the first one Barsy won 86-80 after a great fourth quarter. At the break the visitors led by 19 points but the difference was cut to 13 before the final ten minutes. Then the home side played great and managed to complete the comeback. 

Vladimir Ivanov was the top performer in this game with 24 points and 12 rebounds as Dmitriy Klimov also did well with 21 and 11.

The second game was lost by Barsy 81-88. Once again the visitors started better but the difference at the break was just 7 points. A good third quarter cut the deficit to 3 but in the final ten minutes the visitors didn′t allow a new comeback and this time won the match.

Bojan Bakic had double-double for Barsy with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Vladimir Ivanov had 16 and 10. Dmitriy Klimov once again did good with 15 and 7 of his own.

After ten games played Barsy is fourth in the standings with 6 wins and 4 defeats so far. Next week Barsy will travel to Kostanay to meet the second placed Tobol for two important games.
