Domestic leagues: Defeats for Blokotehna and Kozuv to start 2019

KK Blokotehna suffered its second defeat of the season in Macedonian league. The team visited MZT Skopje and offered a fight before losing 90-97.

Blokotehna started well and went up by 6 points after the first quarter and led by 2 at the break. The hosts though came out strong in the second half to complete the comeback and went ahead by 9 points after the end of the third quarter. In the final ten minutes MZT controlled the score and finished with a win.

Petar Nikolikj and Danilo Mijatovic had 18 points apiece for the visitors with the center adding also 12 rebounds. Goran Glavchev finished with 16 points and 7 assists.

KK Kozuv also didn′t have the best of times in the opening round for 2019 and lost to Gostivar 73-78 at home. The visitors had a great second quarter which allowed them to have a 15-point lead at the break. After it the hosts tried to comeback in the game and even took a 1-point advantage with 1.17 to play. The visitors however answered right back and took an important win.

The newest arrival Devaugntah Williams finished with 20 points for Kozuv as Nikola Karakolev added 17 and 9 rebounds.

After 11 rounds Blokotehna is tied for first with 9-2 record while Kozuv is 7th with 5-6
