BC Beroe recorded its 8th straight win in the Balkan League after beating heavily BC Barsy Atyrau 100-68 at home. The Greens never left any doubt for the final outcome as they jumped to a big lead after the first quarter and were in control after that. With that victory they are still the only unbeaten team in the league and will try to continue that run when next week they′ll host Academic Bultex 99. As for Barsy the team now has 1-7 record and in order to qualify for the Final Four will have to win all four remaining games and in the same time hope that Blokotehna will lose five of its last six matches. Those two teams will meet on Thursday in Gevgelija and already then we may know all Final 4 participants.

 

The visitors were close for the first six minutes when the difference was just 4 points. Beroe though went on a 12-0 run to go up by double digits and led by 14 after one quarter. The game was decided in the second when the hosts pulled away by another strong run. They made a 13-1 burst which made the advantage 24 point and until the break it reached 30. From that moment on their was only one outcome and the second half was just a formality.

 

Tre Coggins was Beroe′s top scorer finishing with 18 points while also adding 8 assists. Stanislav Vaklinov had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds as Aleksandar Yanev had 15 points.

 

The visitors were led by Bojan Bakic who had 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Vladimir Ivanov was the second best scorer with 12 points as Rustam Utegen had 9.
