No problems for Galil Gilboa against Timisoara

BC Galil Gilboa achieved their seventh win in Group A of the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League. At home in Gan Ner, Lior Lubin′s side totally smashed the visiting BC Timisoara, as they won the game by 18 points - 91:73.Romeo Travis dunked the ball giving his side an early 2:0 lead before Timisoara answered with seven straight points, turning things around and grabbing a 2:7 lead with 7.45 left. Timisoara remaind with the lead in the following minutes, but Galil Gilboa was decreasing the margin step by step and they got the lead back after Dagan Yivzori made a three for 13:11 with 4.15 remaining in the first. Sime Spralja gave Timisoara the lead with a long distance shot for 15:16, but Joseph Jones scored for 17:16 and Galil didn′t let the lead go until the end of the first quarter, when they were up by six - 25:19.
The guest team started the second period good, decreasing the difference to just 1 point - 27:26, after going on a 2-7 run in the first 1.40 minutes of hte second period. However Galil Gilboa quickly managed to break ahead again, scoring 9 points against just 2 for Timisoara in the next minutes, as the score was 36:28, after Yan Martin made a three-pointer with 4.44 left. Galil increased their lead to double digits - 42:30 with 3.18 remaining before halftime. The home team remained ahead in the score until halftime and halfway through the game they were up by 11 - 50:39.
After the halftime break Galil Gilboa obviously managed to take their momentum from the second quarter and carry it on in the third, as they increased their lead to 15 points - 54:39 with 8.48 remaining in the quarter. However Timisoara would go on an 11-2 run in the next four minutes, cutting their deficit to 56:50 with less than five minutes to go. It seemed like this was Timisoara′s quarter, as they continued with their good play and not only managed to erase their deficit, but got the lead - 59:60 after a made free-throw by Ivan Siriscevic. Despite the strong play by the visiting side, Galil Gilboa remained ahead after 30 minutes, but this time by just 4 points - 64:60.
Dagain Yivzori scored a three early in the fourth to extend his team′s lead to 7, but Nenad Markovic quickly returned two points, bringingthe gap to 5 - 67:62. Galil Gilboa took over the game in the next minutes, as they scored 12 points against just 3 for Timisoara and led the game 79:65 with five minutes remaining. Gilboa continued to dominate what was happening on the court, extending their lead to a game-high so far 22 points - 91:69 with 1.42 remaining. The final score was settled at 91:73.
Galil Gilboa are first in Group A with 7 wins and just 1 loss, while Timisoara are fourth with 3 wins and 5 losses.
Dagan Yivzori led Galil Gilboa with 29 points, shooting 7/11 from three-point distance, as he also added 6 rebounds. Ido Kozikaro finished with 15 points and 8 rebounds, while Yan Martin added 14 points. Romeo Travis and Courtney Fells had 10 points each.
Sime Spralja scored 20 for Timisoara in the loss while Zlatko Jovanovic had 18 along with 7 assists. Nenad Markovic and Ivan Siriscevic scored 10 points a piece.
