Coach Albert Sylejmani: We are excited and proud of the results we have achieved!

The new champion of Delasport Balkan League KB Sigal Prishtina returned home with the title after an amazing Final 4 in Limassol.

Head coach of the winners Albert Sylejmani shared his thoughts with us on the success:

Winning for the 3rd time in the Balkan League gives us really great emotions, and we are excited and proud of the results we have achieved!

It wasn't easy to win the trophy looking at our season, where we had a lot of challenges and changes on the team, starting from the coaches, domestics, and foreign players!

I am the 3rd coach for this season, and for me as the coach, and also for the players, it hasn't been easy to get in shape and create a winning team!

Thanks to my coaching colleagues Andin Rashica and Laurant Ibrahimi, captain of the team Dardan Berisha, managing staff, board, director Luan Maloku and the president of the club Blerand Stavileci, and all the players, and our greatest fans "PLISAT" for the support, we achieved to win the first trophy on this season!

We succeeded in winning the last regular game against Peja, where after that game we were 1st in the standings, and that made it an easier job for us in the semifinal against Lovcen.

The game between AEL and Peja was a really tough game that pushed both teams to spend a lot of energy. We were fresher for the final game against AEL. They were an advantage because they were playing on their home court, and in front of a full gym with loud fans! The atmosphere was crazy, and it was very hard to play in that hall!

Thanks to the experience of our team, we managed the game quite well, except in the 2nd quarter when they were leading by 7.

In the 3rd period, we showed our real faces and qualities that we have! We used the best way our experience and advantages as a team!

AEL has a great team, but we did a wonderful job with the coaching staff, analyzing and scouting the AEL team individually and as a team!

Everyone in the team knew that the final was going to be very hard, and we took it very seriously to prepare ourselves in the best way.

I would like to thank the BIBL management for the great organization, AEL team, for the wonderful hosting, and of course all my team, sponsors, and fans for their support!
