BC Akademik Plovdiv presented their new logo

BC Akademik Plovdiv known from the last few seasons as BC Academic Bultex 99 presented today their new logo.

Along with the changed club name earlier this summer, the team from Plovdiv will also be happy with new image for season 2020-2021.

As they have completed officially their application for BIBL, BC Akademik has started the pre-season preparation on Monday, August 24 with almost the whole roster. They are waiting only for Nikolay Nikolov and Obrad Tomic to join their teammates with a little delay.

The selection is quite promising again full of strong competitive local and foreign players as the ambitions of the newly-selected Head Coach Yordan Yankov are to repeat last season′s great performance and finish the unfinished due to the corona virus lockdown Final Four participation chasing the title. 

The basketball fans in Bulgaria will have the privilidge to watch again Tony Gugino who was signed with this same task for the BIBL as well as higher goals and better clasification for the Bulgarian National League and Cup of Bulgaria tournament.

It was announced on BC Akademik Plovdiv official website that friendly games are planned but they will be published later on during the course of preparation.

Although at the moment BC Akademik Plovdiv is the only Bulgarian team to have registered for BIBL 2020-2021 at the moment, the League management is in serious talks and negotiation with 2 more leading clubs in Bulgaria. 

It is expected the list of participants to be finalized during the first week to 10 days of September and the schedule to be announced.
