The Balkan International Basketball League starts in just a few days. In this hard period and the strong battle of the whole world against COVID-19, the Israeli groups will be set to make their BIBL debuts for Season 2020-2021 without the support of the fans in the gyms.
However, all the games will be broadcasted on Sport 5 Channels and the BIBL YouTube

Channel.

Hapoel Holon is one of the most prestigious clubs in Israel. The team won the Israeli League championship in 2008, as well as, the Israeli Cup an year later, and again in 2018. In its 73-year-old history the club has also celebrated again with the Israeli Cup and came 2nd to the final championship title in the distant foundation year of 1947. Hapoel Holon is among the four clubs with the most broadcasted games in leading Israeli TV channels. With its attractive and colourful basketball style, the team will start its first-ever participation in the Balkan International Basketball League with the intention of achieving the maximum and its talented roster including six Americans and an Uruguayan, and leaded by experienced Guy Pnini, is promising to make some noise during BIBL Season 2020-2021.

In its 50-year-old history Hapoel Eilat has faced many challenges, but the ups and down has made the club even stronger. After serious financial issues in 2000, which led to its relegation to the lower divisions of Israel, the year of 2012 came as a fresh new start. In the 2012/2013 season, the team finished in third place and reached the playoff semifinals, where they lost to Maccabi Haifa, 3-2, in the series. The following season, for the first time in its history, the club qualified to the Israeli Cup final. Season 2020-2021 in the Balkan International Basketball League will be the first international competition that Hapoel Eilat will participate in. And the road to Europe starts with Ironi Ness Ziona.

Ironi Ness Ziona is the youngest in Group C. With its only 15 years old history, the club has a lot to be proud of. In the 2018–2019 season, Ironi Ness Ziona made its debut in European competition. They played in the qualifying rounds of the 2018–2019 FIBA Europe Cup, where went on to eventually winning the First and Second Group stage before losing in the 1/8-final. The first challenge in the Balkan International Basketball League for Ironi Ness Ziona is Hapoel Eilat and the game will be more than interesting, as the two teams met last month at the 1/8-final of the Winner Cup, with a close final score 94-90 in favour of Eilat.
