Levski with an easy win against Spartak

Levski achieved their sixth win so far in Group B of the EUROHOLD Balkan League, and until at least the 2nd of March are going to be on the first place in their group, since Feni is playing against Steaua in the postponed game from the 8th round then. Today Titi Papazov`s side achieved a dominating victory at home against the struggling team of Spartak Pleven, outplaying them by 31 points of difference - 113:82.The game started surprisingly strong for Spartak Pleven, as Darin Velikov`s side made a 1:7 run in the opening minutes. They continued to be ahead for the remainder of the first period, as after ten minutes of play they were ahead by 2 points - 23:25.
The game was over for Spartak at halftime, as they lost the second quarter 31:14, and after 20 minutes they were down 54:39. That was just the begining of Spartak`s end today.
In the third quarter, Levski continued to build their lead, as after 30 minutes of play "the Blues" were up 82:62 - 20 points more.
In the closing period, Levski added 11 more points to the difference, as they won 31:20, and the final score on the scoreboard in Universiada was 111:82 for Levski - the team`s biggest victory so far in the EUROHOLD Balkan League.
Asen Velikov was Levski`s top performer today. The playmaker scored 21 points as he shot perfect from 2 points - 8/8, missed only one three-pointer - 1/2 and was perfect from the free-throw line - 2/2. He added 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for an efficiency of 35.
Bobby Frasor, Stefan Georgiev and Gjorgji Cekovski scored 17 points each. Donald Cole scored 15 points, while Aaron Harper had just 11 in the third game in which he came off the bench.
For Spartak Pleven Joseph Kennerley was the top scorer, finishing with 22 points along with 5 rebounds. Rosen Sofroniev and Todor Todorov both scored 13 points, and Alexander Dyakovski shot 8/8 from the FT line to finish with 11 points, coming off the bench today.
Levski`s next game is on the 23rd of February away from home, as they are visiting Mornar in Bar, Montenegro. On the other side, Spartak Pleven are going to have a hard home game against Feni Industries in Pleven, on the 17th of February.
