Croatia & Montenegro out of the semifinals in Eurobasket 2011

The Balkan teams participating in the women Eurobasket 2011 - Croatia and Montenegro lost their games in the quarterfinals, and will now play for classification between 5th and 8th place.   Montenegro, who were unbeaten until yesterday lost to Turkey 44:56. In that way their first loss threw them out of the competition for the medals. Anna De Forge had 11 points and 8 rebounds, Ana Turcinovic added 10 points and Iva Perovanovic finished with 9.   Croatia lost 63:79 to the Czech Republic in their quarterfinal game. Sandra Mandir played well - 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 rebounds.    However the Croatian team already played their first game for the 5th-8th place, and won against Latvia - 84:75.   Montenegro will face Lithuania later today.
