Bulgaria relegated to Division B, Croatia reached the semis

Bulgaria U16 got relegated to Division B after suffering another loss at the European Championship in Pardubice and Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic. Georgi Dimitrov′s team suffered another loss, this time losing to Poland by 19 points - 85:104.   Aleksandar Vezenkov had a strong game, leading Bulgaria with 35 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Angel Peychinov added 13 points.   Another country from the BIBL - Croatia reached the semifinals at the same European Championship. At the quarterfinals they won against Russia - 88:62 after 30 points and 11 rebounds by Mario Hezonja.    At the semifinals they will play against Spain, while the other semifinal is between the teams of the Czech Republic and France.
