Levski′s women team has ambition to play in the WBIBL (Women International Basketball League) which is set to start from the upcoming 2011/2012 season. According to the head coach of the men′s team Konstantin Papazov, that′s an absolutely real goal.
"My opinion is that Levski is winning from the participation in the EUROHOLD Balkan League. We received big trust from the management of the BIBL since the very beginning, and I can say that those three years that we participated in the League helped our team and our players grow and develop. So there isn′t a reason not to believe that things wouldn′t turn out the same for the women team." Papazov said.
"That however will not change our plan for new players. We have a strategy and we are following it. I think that we have a big advantage, taking in mind that we are the only competitive team in Sofia. Eventually we′ll comment with the management a slight adjustment in the budget, so a foreign player could be signed, but that′s not on first plan at this point. I think that playin in the Women Balkan League will be good for the club." Papazov finished.News
