BC Levski will honour one of the club legends and also a legend of the Bulgarian basketball on the 28th of September. On this date the European Club Champion Panathinaikos will visit Sofia for Georgi Mladenov′s farewell game.Georgi Mladenov is considered to be one of Bulgaria′s best basketball players ever. Born in 1962 in Sofia, Bulgaria throughout his career he has played for the teams of Levski, Slavia, Plama Pleven and Spartak Euroins in the local championship. As a player he is an 11-time champion of Bulgaria and has won the National Cup 7 times.
He began his coaching career in Spartak Euroins, and after that moved to Balkan Botevgrad. With Balkan he won two pairs of medals - bronze in 2007 and silver in 2008. Recently he signed a deal to be the head coach of the men team of Beroe Stara Zagora.
We remind you that in April 2010 during the EUROHOLD Balkan League Final Four in Sofia, Georgi Mladenov received an special award for his contribution to the Balkan basketball. The game will be played in Arena Armeec Sofia.
