BC Timisoara′s roster is starting to shape up as the start of the season in the EUROHOLD Balkan League and in the Romanian championship approaches. After adding Branko Cuic, Zlatko Jovanovic and Dominique Archie earlier in the summer, the team continues the shopping on the transfer market.The latest additions are Robert Sarovic and experienced Romanian forward Bogdan Popescu. Sarovic, a 205-cm forward comes from Novy Jicin in the Czech Republic. In 29 games for this team, the Serbian who also holds a German passport averaged 12.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists, shooting 51% for 2 points and 37% for 3 points.
Bogdan Popescu is a well-known name in the Romanian basketball. A 201-cm tall forward, who has tons of experience, having played in the championships of France, Germany and Belgium. He spent the last season in CSA Steaua Turabo, as in 31 appearances in the Romanian League his average stats were 9.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists. Popescu adds BIBL experience to the team, as he played in 7 games in the League with Steaua in 2009/10, averaging 10.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
Other newcomers in Predrag Badnjarevic′s rotation are Ionel Dodoc from Craiova and George Toth from Bega Timisoara.
