KK Mornar Bar are set to participate in the EUROHOLD Balkan League for the third straight season. The team from the beautiful town of Bar has already established as an organization, that relies on young local talent and produces really good players.
Last season Mornar impressed the basketball fans in the Balkans, as they reached the BIBL Final Four for the first time in their history. In the quarterfinal series they defeated their local rival KK Ulcinj 2-1, but in the semifinal game at the Final 4 they lost to the future champion KK Feni Industries.
The club parted ways with two of their best players from last season - youngsters Nemanja Radovic and Nikola Ivanovic. Radovic averaged 13.5 points and 7.7 rebounds last season, while Ivanovic had 11.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
However Mornar didn′t waste any time in the summer - they re-signed with one of their best players from last season - Ivan Jelenic (16.2 points and 2.8 assists). They also acquired Nikola Ivanovic, a 22-year old forward, who played for KK Lovcen in 2009/2010. Another new interesting name is Andrej Pajovic, coming from high school in the USA, and also Lazar Radosavljevic from Crvena Zvezda. The team re-signed with Mirza Sarajlija.
Mornar has won the Montenegrin Cup back in the 2003/2004 season. In 2006/2007 they reached the cup semifinals, while in 2009/2010 the club finished with the silver medals in the Cup again.
