BC Hapoel Tel-Aviv signed a deal with playmaker Demontez Stitt. This will be his first professional deal, as he is coming straight out of college. In the NCAA he competed for the Clemson Tigers in the ACC conference of the NCAA.
Stitt is a 187-cm tall point guard, who was born on March 16th 1989 in Matthews, North Carolina. He played high school basketball for David W. Butler HS, before choosing to go play for Clemson University. He chose Clemson over Memphis, Penn State, Georgia, Virginia Tech, George Mason anc Charlotte.
In his final season in college, Stitt averaged 14.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 steals.
Prior to the NBA Draft in 2011 he attended the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament where he averaged 2.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 2 games.News
