BC Hapoel Tel-Aviv is one of the two Israeli clubs that are set to make their debut in the EUROHOLD Balkan League in the 2011/2012 season.
The club was founded in the distant 1935 year. The biggest achievments in the history of Hapoel Tel-Aviv are the five Israeli championships, that the team has won, along with the four cups of Israel. Hapoel is considered as one of the biggest basketball clubs in Israel.
In 2011/2012 the team will be coached by Erez Edelshtein, and his assistant will be Ofer Ron. Hapoel is already building a good team for the participation in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, having signed experienced forward Cory Carr. Just a few days ago the team announced the arrival of American rookie Demontez Stitt, and also on the roster is Matan Naor, who is a former NT player of Israel.
The team has one of the most loyal and pаssionate fans in Israel. The home games of Hapoel are played at Hadar Yosef, which is a hall with capacity of 1.400 people and is always full.
Hapoel is in Group B of the EUROHOLD Balkan League, along with the teams of HKK Zrinjski Mostar (Bosnia), BC Levski (Bulgaria), the champion of the BIBL KK Feni Industries (Macedonia), KK Ulcinj (Montenegro) and KK Napredak Rubin (Serbia).
