2011-2012 Team Preview: KK Feni Industries

We are finishing the previews of the teams for the upcoming 2011/2012 season of the EUROHOLD Balkan League with the reigning champion of the competition - KK Feni Industries Kavadarci.   Feni are already established as one of the strong teams in the BIBL, as they have participated in all editions of the League. Also, they are the only team that has reached the Final 4 in all of the previous three seasons, and in 2011 in Kavadarci, they finally won the EUROHOLD Balkan League championship title.   The team appeared in the top league of Macedonia for the first time in 2007/2008. In the very same season they managed to win the Cup and the Championship of Macedonia. One season later, they took the silver medals in Macedonia, and played in the BIBL Final Four. In 2009/2010 Feni once again reached the Final Four, and also achieved big success in Macedonia, winning the Cup and the Championship again. In 2010/2011 the team finally managed to win what was missing from their trophy case - the EUROHOLD Balkan League, as they also added another title of Macedonia.   Feni managed to keep the main part of their championship team from last season - Darko Sokolov, Jarrid Frye, Dusan Knezevic, Sloban Mihajlovski, Marjan Gjurov and the team captain Goran Samardziev. They also added Macedonia NT center Kiril Nikolovski, who along with Darko Sokolov finished fourth at EuroBasket 2011.   Other new additions to the team are American guard N′Gai Evans along with young SG Ivan Igrovic.   The defending champions are in Group B of the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League with the teams of HKK Zrinjski Mostar (Bosnia), BC Levski (Bulgaria), BC Hapoel Tel-Aviv (Israel), KK Ulcinj (Montenegro) and KK Napredak Rubin (Serbia).
