Titi Papazov: "Our goal is to win the EUROHOLD Balkan League"

The head coach of BC Levski - Konstantin Papazov spoke to the media just one day before the start of the 2011/2012 season for his club. The "Blues" are facing HKK Zrinjski Mostar in their opening game in the EUROHOLD Balkan League. Here is what Titi said at the press conference in Universiada Hall earlier today.   "All the players that we are practicing with and working at this time have licenses both for the Balkan League and for the Bulgarian championship. Nothing has changed with Vassil Evtimov and Aleksandar Gruev, they are practicing with us, as amateurs, so they could leave when the right offer for each of them arrives." Papazov said.   "Ronald Slay is a very good addition for us. The only bad thing is his physical condition, but he is working on that. Even today when the team has a day off, Ronald is in the gym with our conditioning coach and my assistant Niki Gospodinov. From what I′ve seen I can tell that he is a really good player, he has tactical knowledge, and has played in a strong championship in Italy the last four years." were Titi′s words regarding the newest addition to the team Ronald Slay.   "The EUROHOLD Balkan League is one of our main priorities, regardless of the participatin of Galil Gilboa - the second strongest team from Israel. Our goal is to win the competition. That′s why from day one we have to show with our attitude on the court, that we are favourites in this League."   "I think that having Israeli teams in the BIBL will help a lot, especially regarding the sponsors and advertisers. I think that Galil Gilboa is one of the favourites in the BIBL this season, while Hapoel Tel Aviv is a team with great tradition. In my opinion, the EUROHOLD Balkan League is at the same level as the EuroChallenge, except the teams from the Final 4 there. In this tough financial times, the BIBL is probably the only league that pays to the clubs that are participating in the competition." Papazov finished.
