The defending EUROHOLD Balkan League champion - KK Feni Industries are hosting the team of Hapoel Tel Aviv in their first home game in the BIBL for the new 2011/2012 season. In the first round, the Macedonian and BIBL champion started with a visit to Montenegro, where they defeated KK Ulcinj, while the Israeli team played against Napredak Rubin, as they also achieved a win.

Both teams are unbeaten so far in their domestic championships - Feni are 3-0 in Macedonia, while Hapoel are 2-0 in the Israel National League. However Feni already missed a chance for their first trophy of the campaign, as they lost the Macedonian Super Cup final to their rival Rabotnicki Skopje.

In the first round of the BIBL Feni had some major injury issues - Goran Samardziev, Jarrid Frye, N′Gai Evans and Slobodan Mihajlovski didn′t play in the visit to Ulcinj, but the champions still took the win back home (53:59). Dusan Knezeveic stepped up with 18 points on the occasion, while Sasa Ocokoljic added 12. Knezevic was also the top rebounder with 9 boards, and veteran PG Ocokoljic led the team in assists with 5. N′Gai Evans is set to make their debut in front of Feni′s hometown fans tonight against Hapoel.

Hapoel also took off with a win in their debut season in the EUROHOLD Balkan League. Erez Edelshtein′s team defeated another new BIBL team at the start - KK Napredak Rubin (74:66). Curtis Kelly, the former UCONN and Kansas State standout led Hapoel in scoring in their first game with 16 points, as he added 10 rebounds to shape his double-double. The team presentes a mix between youth and experience so we are definitely set for an interesting encounter tonight in Jasmin Hall in Kavadarci.
