Rilski Sportist suffered a home loss in the National Basketball League of Bulgaria, just a few days after the victorious start of the new season in the EUROHOLD Balkan League against BC Timisoara.
In a game from Round 3 of the NBL, Rilski lost to the reigning champion of Bulgaria Lukoil Academic by 11 points - 71:82. The home side was holding on during the first half, as they were down by just 1 at halftime - 41:42, but Lukoil played a great second half and got the W.
Filip Vukosavljevic led Rilski Sportist in scoring - 23 points (10/15 shooting) and 6 rebounds. Branko Mirkovic again showcased his all-around game, finishing with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists.
Brandon Heath scored 17 points and had 7 assist for Lukoil, while Bruno Sundov and Pavel Marinov came off the bench scoring 15 and 11 points.
Rilski is currently fourth with a balance of 1-2, while Lukoil is on top of the table with a perfect balance of 3-0.News
