Aleksandar Gruev is leaving Levski to play abroad. The 28-year old guard accepted an offer from Melli Haffari Ahvaz and is going to play in the championship of Iran. This is the playmaker′s first transfer away from Bulgaria.   Gruev became a well-known name in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, playing for BC Rilski Sportist in the past three seasons of the competition. He was the team captain and won the BIBL back in 2009 and also had the silver medal in 2011. The guard started the 2011/2012 campaign with the team of Levski, as both sides had an agreement that he will be free to leave if a satisfying offer comes from abroad.   Sasho Gruev has a total of 34 games in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, including 17 starts. His average stats over a little more than three seasons are 9.3 points, 4.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 24.2 minutes per contest.   His best season was 2009/2010 when he achieved 16.1 points, 6.5 assists and 2.1 steals in 11 games.
