Israeli outfit Galil Gilboa made their home fans happy, as they achieved a win against OKK Beograd in their game from Round 3 of the BIBL. Galil totally dominated the second half of tonight′s game and deservedly won 84:62.
 
Galil Gilboa started their first ever EUROHOLD Balkan League home game strong, as they quickly built a 4:0 lead. Dragan Mitrovic made two free-throws for 4:2, but it was Gilboa who was in control in the following minutes. Lior Lubin′s team extended their lead to 9:4 with 5.26 left. Mirko Kovac and Slavko Stefanovic scored for OKK, bringing them back to only one point away - 9:8. The home side responded with the next 4 points - 12:8, before Luka Drca and Milos Suzic gave OKK their first lead of the game - 12:13. After 10 minutes the score was tied at 14:14.
 
In the opening minutes of the second period Gilboa had their biggest lead so far - 21:15 with 7.33 to go. In the next minutes the home side was in control of the game, as they kept a distance between 4 and 6 points. Galil Gilboa led 34:30 after a basket by Amir Beir-Katz 1.54 before halftime, but Filip Sepa scored two free-throws and Luka Drca converted an and-one play to put OKK ahead by a point - 34:35 halfway through the game.
 
The first five minutes after halftime were interesting, as Galil Gilboa and OKK Beograd were tied a couple of times and also there were a few lead changes, but from 42:42 with 4.45 to go, Galil started a an 11:0 run which would put them ahead by 11 points - 53:42 with 2.40 left in the quarter. After 30 minutes of play the Israeli team led the game 60:47.
 
The fourth quarter would turn into a complete disaster for OKK Beograd, who went scoreless in the opening two minutes, which allowed Galil Gilboa to extend their lead to 22 points - 69:47 with 7.58 to go. Luka Drca decreased it to 69:49, after making two free-throws, but in the next four minutes Gilboa scored 14 more points increasing the lead to 82:49. Until the end of the game Gilboa slowed down, which let OKK at least decrease the difference, as the final score was settled at 84:62.
 
Five players scored in double digits for Galil Gilboa, led by Dagan Yivzori, who had 18 points and made 6 assists. Chaisson Allen added 17 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Joseph Jones scored 12 points, while Romeo Travis and Ido Kozikaro had 10 each, as Kozikaro played really good, coming off the bench.
 
Luka Drca was OKK′s top scorer with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Mirko Kovac was the only other player to score 10 or more points, as he finished the game with 12.
 
Galil Gilboa are hosting BC Rilski Sportist on the 23rd of November, while OKK Beograd′s next game is on the 15th of November when they are visiting BC Timisoara.
