KK Mornar Bar left OKK Beograd without a win

The young team of KK Mornar Bar achieved their second win in the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League, as they defeated OKK Beograd away from home in CKS Sumice 82:89. The win came after a terrific performance in the second half, when Mornar scored 22 points more than their opponents.
 
OKK Beograd scored the first basket of the game, but after that they were trailing for almost the entire first period, before they finally got the lead again - 14:13 with 2.41 to go. Until the end of the period OKK scored 10 points against just 4 for Mornar, which gave them a comfortable 24:17 lead after 10 minutes of play.
 
In the second period OKK continued to hold a comfortable lead, as the biggest difference at one point was 8 points - 30:22. However Mornar managed to decrease their deficit until the end of the quarter, and after 20 minutes of play they were losing by 5 points - 37:32.
 
The third quarter was a turning point in tonight′s game. OKK led in the opening minutes, but Mornar finally got back in the game and tied the score at 45:45 with 4.26 to go. In the minutes until the end of the third period Mornar built a comfortable lead which was 10 points after 30 minutes - 52:62.
 
The young Montenegrin squad didn′t led their lead slip away during the entire fourth quarter, as the closest OKK could get was 5 points. Mornar led 76:81 with 2.05 to go and OKK Beograd started commiting fouls, but the Mornar players either made the free-throws or grabbed the rebounds on offense and the final score was settled at 82:89.
 
Ivan Jelenic had a big game for Mornar, scoring 28 points. Akeem Scott also performed good, finishing with 18 points, while Filip Barovic added 11 points and 7 rebounds. Nikola Ivanovic and Mirza Sarajlija had 8 points each.
 
Nenad Misanovic scored 20 points for OKK in their loss. Stanoje Knezevic had 19 along with 7 rebounds, while the team captain Dragan Mitrovic added 11 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Jovan Koprivica finished with 10 points.
 
OKK are still without a win, with a balance of 0-3 at the last sixth spot in Group A, while Mornar are second with 2-2.
