Levski achieved their fourth straight win in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, beating KK Napredak Rubin 74:72 and so far they are the only unbeaten team in Group B of the competition with a balance of 4-0.
 
The first quarter in Arena Armeec 2 in Sofia was really interesting, as the visiting team KK Napredak Rubin turned out to be trouble for the home side Levski. The Serbian side confused the "Blues" with some really good zone defense, which was hard to overcome by Levski′s guards and after 10 minutes of play the score was tied at 16:16.
 
In the opening minutes of the second quarter Napredak remained close to Levski, as the difference was no more than three points. However Levski found the right rhytm and started to break ahead of their opposition, as at one point they had their first double-digit lead of the game - 37:27 with 3.17 left in the half. After 31:17 in the second quarter, Levski held a deserved 47:33 lead at halftime.
 
Napredak didn′t seem like giving up at all and got off to a great start right after the halftime break. The Serbian team scored the first 14. points in the quarter,erasing the difference, and tying the game at 47:47 with 4.56 left to play in the third. Levski got their lead back and after 30 minuts of basketball they were still ahead - 58:52.
 
The home side kept the lead in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter. Halfway through the decisive fourth period Levski held a 67:62 lead. Napredak responded with a 7:2 run which tied the score at 69:69 after a three by Slaven Cupkovic with 1.34 left. Zlatin Georgiev gave his team a 72:69 lead with 34 seconds remaining, but Napredak answered immediately as Vladimir Radmanovac scored for 72:72 with 19 seconds left. Hrisimir Dimitrov scored two free-throws for 74:72 and Napredak had 12 seconds to tie or win the game but Marko Puzic missed a three-pointer and after an offensive rebound Vladimir Radmanovac missed a chance to tie the game and Levski won by 2 points.
 
Marcus Hall scored 22 points for Levski, as he didn′t miss a single shot for two points - 8/8. Hrisimir Dimitrov added 16 points, while Zlatin Georgiev scored 15. Vassil Evtimov grabbed 13 rebounds and added 3 assists.
 
Aco Mandic led KK Napredak Rubin with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Slaven Cupkovic added 19 points and 9 rebounds, while Marko Radonjic had 11 points, 6 boards and 5 assists. Vladimir Radmanovac scored 5 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Napredak are fifth in Group B after this loss with a balance of 1 win and 3 losses.
