BC Rilski Sportist stunned KK Torus - SC Boris Trajkovski in Boris Trajkovski Sports Center in Skopje, beating them 80:85 in order to get their third win in Group A of the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League. On the other side this was the second home loss for Torus in two games at home.
 
The game didn′t start in the best possible way for Riletso, as KK Torus - SCBT enjoyed a dream start, totally dominating in the first quarter. Former Rilski Sportist guard Dimitar Karadozvski gave his team a 10:6 lead, with 7.08 remaining in the quarter, before Ivica Dimcevski extended it to 15:9, after a three-pointer. Justin Reynolds made the score 19:11 with 4.42 left, but Branko Mirkovic responded with a three-pointer for 19:14. Until the end of the quarter Torus scored 14 points against just 5 for Rilski, as the score after 10 minutes of play was 33:19.
 
Right after the start of the second quarter KK Torus - SCBT extended their lead to 36:19. At one point they led the game by almost 20 points - 43:24, their biggest lead so far. Rosen Barchovski′s team responded with seven straight points, cutting their deficit to 43:31 with 2.18 to go in the first half. After 20 minutes of basketball in Skopje Torus led by 8 points - 50:42.
 
The second half started strong for the Bulgarian team, as the 2009 BIBL champions scored the first seven points, cutting their deficit down to just a single point - 50:49 with 6.11 remaining in the third period. Martin Marinov gave his team the lead, scoring a three-pointer for 55:57 with 2.11 left in the period, and after three quarters it was Rilski Sportist who had the lead - 59:61.
 
Justin Reynolds tied the score at 61:61 early in the fourth quarter, giving the start of a strong run for his team, as in the first 3 and a half minutes of the last period Torus outscored Rilski Sportist 9:2 and led 68:63. The difference continued to grow - 72:65 after another basket by Reynolds. Rilski scored the next ten points, erasing their deficit and returning to the leading position - 72:75 after a three by Branko Mirkovic 2.58 before the end of regulation. Torus finally scored after Jeremiah Boswell made a free-throw for 76:75, but Ante Bilobrk gave Rilski a 76:78 lead. Riletso extended their lead to 78:82, after two made free-throws by Martin Marinov, and they didn′t let it go until the end, when the final score was sttled at 80:85.
 
Branko Mirkovic scored 19 points and added 4 rebounds and 6 assists to his statline in the win for Riletso. Filip Vukosavljevic scored 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, while Martin Marinov came up big off the bench - scoring 17 points (4/5 from long distance), adding 6 rebounds to his stats. Ante Bilobrk had 15 points and 4 rebounds.
 
Dimitar Karadzovski scored 20 points against his former team, as he also added 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Justin Reynolds had a double-double - 17 points and 12 rebounds, while veteran forward Pero Blazevski contributed with 13 points off the bench.
 
After tonight′s win Rilski Sportist are second in Group A with a balance of 3-1, while KK Torus SCBT are fifth with 1-2.
 
KK Torus are visiting Galil Gilboa on the 14th of December, while Rilski Sportist are travelling to Belgrade to face OKK Beograd on the 20th of December.
