Galil Gilboa made the right decision - playing in the EUROHOLD Balkan League

Who wants to travel to Romania in the middle of the winter? What they need? These and other questions were raised by many when they learned the decision, of Galil Gilboa to play in the EUROHOLD Balkan League this season instead of the EuroCup? Are they crazy? What is the EUROHOLD Balkan League?
 
The EUROHOLD Balkan League is not the Adriatic League, there are no big names, but the BIBL gives Galil Gilboa many solutions to their problems.
 
Last week they played a team from Skopje, Macedonia, not a familiar name in Europe and they won 85:62 and went up to 5-0. Yan Martin is going through some trouble in the Israeli League, he almost doesn′t score, makes only 23% of his long-range shots and had only 1 game with more than 10 points. In this game he scored 16 points and was all smiles in the end.
 
The EUROHOLD Balkan League gives head coach Lior Lubin a chance to to give playing time to his young and talented players. Also the foreign players get chances. Chaisson Allen got a chance, when Courtney Fells had to travel back to the USA and was gone for two weeks. Yet there was balance in the team as there were four foreigners on the roster.
 
The program in the Balkan League keeps Galil Gilboa in excellent game shape. While most teams play only once a week, and the pressure grows after just one loss, Galil Gilboa plays more games, and spending time on the road helps for the amazing atmosphere in the team. 
 
Young Israeli players like Nimrod Tishman and Amit Beir-Katz are getting playing time in the BIBL, which would help them fit in the rotation of the team in the Israeli league.
 
Galil Gilboa are close to ensuring a place in the Final Four of the competition and is one of the main title contenders.
 
Nothing is easy and for Ido Kozikaro this maybe the second international cup, after winning the ULEB Cup a couple of years ago. At his age he is back in shape and enjoys every game. That is just another added value that Galil Gilboa made the correct decision to play in the EUROHOLD Balkan League.
