Domestic leagues: Galil Gilboa started the year with a loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv

The vice-champion of Israel and participant in the EUROHOLD Balkan League - BC Galil Gilboa started the year 2012 on the wrong foot, losing to the Israeli powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv 102:61.   Gilboa couldn′t do much against the runner-up in the 2011 Euroleague as the difference was increasing after each quarter. Both coaches gave chance and playing time to all of their players in the first game of the new year.   Romeo Travis and Chaisson Allen led Galil Gilboa in scoring with 13 points each. Josep Jones performed at a good level - 12 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists.   Galil Gilboa remained on second place in the table, as this was their fourth loss so far in the season, and their balance is 7-4. Maccabi is still on top of the ranking with 10 wins and only one loss.   Galil Gilboa′s next game in the EUROHOLD Balkan League is on the 18th of January when they are visiting BC Rilski Sportist.
