Romeo Travis has been a key figure in BC Galil Gilboa′s unbeaten run in their debut season in the EUROHOLD Balkan League. Gilboa stand on first place in Group A of the BIBL with a balance of 5-0, and Travis has some quite good numbers on his statsheet - 12.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 blocked shots, as all of this equals to 18.0 efficiency per game. Here is what the former U of Akron player had to say for balkanleague.net:

Q: Did you know anything about the EUROHOLD Balkan League before you started playing in the competition with Galil Gilboa?

Romeo Travis: No, I had never heard of the Balkan League before my team joined. But I′m glad we did.

Q: We′re already halfway through the regular season, what is your opinion of the competition?

R.T.: There are some very good teams in the league. It gives us great opportunity to play and challenge for a championship.

Q: Gilboa has a balance of 5-0, do you think you can remain unbeaten until the end of the regular season?

R.T.: I don′t know if we are going to go undefeated in the Balkan League, but we are going to compete and execute in every game and see what happens.

Q: Your team is definitely one of the top contenders for the BIBL crown this season, can you name some of the others in your opinion?

R.T.: Hapoel Tel Aviv ofcourse. Levski and Rilski Sportist, and the team from Romania - BC Timisoara all have the chance to compete for a championship in this league.

Q: This is your first season with Galil Gilboa, how do you feel that you fit in the team?

R.T: I feel great on this team. The coach and my teammates all have a lot of confidence in my ability to help the team compete and play hard every game.
