OKK Beograd defeated Torus and left them with just one win in Group A Good game for Misanovic

OKK Beograd defeated KK Torus - SC Boris Trajkovski in their delayed game from Round 2 of the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League. The final score was 87:81 in favor of the home side, as this was OKK′s second win in the competition so far. They remained unbeaten under new head coach Vlado Djurovic.
 
OKK Beograd had the lead in the opening minuts of the game - the home side led by 2 with 7 minutes left on the clock - 8:6. They extended their lead to eight points - 14:6 after putting in some good effort on defense, before Jeremiah Boswell scored a three, making it 14:9. OKK scored for 16:9, but another basket by Boswell cut the lead back to 5 again. Three minutes before the end of the quarter, OKK led by four points - 20:16. In the closing minutes of the first period the score was tied two times - at 20:20 and at 22:22. Jovan Koprivica gave OKK a 24:22 lead, but Bojan Trajkovski made a three with 14 seconds to go and the score after 10 minutes of play was 24:25 - one point more for KK Torus - SC Boris Trajkovski.
 
KK Torus - SCBT started the second period with zone defense, but that wasn′t a problem for OKK, who got off to a six-to-nothing run, getting the lead back - 30:25 early in the second. Pero Blazevski completed an and-one play, cutting his team′s deficit to 2 points - 30:28. Bojan Krstevski tied the score at 32:32 and completed a three-point play for 32:33, but Dragan Mitrovic made a three for 35:33. Halfway through the second period KK Torus led 37:38. OKK Beograd managed to break away in the next minutes, as they built a 45:40 lead with 2.33 left to play. Bojan Trajkovski was all over the place for Torus in the following moments. He scored all of the team′s points until the end of the first half, as after 20 minutes of playu OKK held a 51:47 lead.
 
The visitors started the third period good, as they scored five unanswered points and had the lead - 51:52. OKK′s answer was Nenad Misanovic - the big man made a putback dunk, blocked a shot on defense and scored a basket for 55:52. The home team extended their lead ot 59:54, but Karadzovski and Trajkovski scored seven straight points for 59:61. The score was tied at 61:61, but from now until the end of the period OKK outscored Torus 14:3, leading 75:64 after 30 minutes.
 
While OKK must have thought that they have done their work, Torus had something else in mind. The visiting sie started the fourth quarter with a run of 12 to nothing, as the score was tied at 75:75 with 7.21 to go, and everything was starting over. Luka Drca made a three for 80:77 and the visiting side′s top scorer Bojan Trajkovski fouled out with 4.49 to go, which made the remaining minutes even harder for Torus. OKK held the lead until the very end of the game, extending it to six points for the final score of 87:81.
 
Jovan Koprivica was the man of the match for OKK Beograd. The 198-cm tall forward impressed with 23 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Luka Drca added 18 points, while Stanoje Knezevic finished with 12 and 8 boards. Nenad Misanovic came off the bench with 11 points and 6 rebounds, and Dragan Mitrovic added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
 
Bojan Trajkovski led KK Torus - SCBT with 23 points in just 25 minutes of action. Jeremiah Boswell added 15 points and 3 assists, as Dimitar Karadzovski finished with 12 points. Nikola Karakolev scored 10, shooting 5/6 from the field.
 
Next week, on the 17th of January OKK Beograd are hosting BC Timisoara in CKS Sumice in Belgrade. KK Torus - SCBT will have to travel to Bar, where they will face local side KK Mornar Bar, as well on the 17th of January.
